
Emily Beveridge BSc(Hons), JD
Senior Associate
Emily Beveridge is a senior associate with Pape Salter Teillet LLP and specializes in Indigenous rights law.
Emily advises clients on a variety of issues, including treaty implementation, land and resource governance, and issues relating to the negotiation and implementation of impact and benefit agreements. Emily works with Indigenous peoples across the country.
Emily joined Pape Salter Teillet LLP after working in a number of legal and policy roles, most recently with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in its Legal Services Branch. In the past, Emily has worked with Ecojustice, the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, and with a Calgary law firm representing Indigenous clients in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Emily received her JD from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, where she graduated with an Option in Environmental Law. Emily completed her last year of law school at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, where she received the Gordon Bisaro Memorial Prize for her achievements in Indigenous legal coursework.
Emily is called to the bar in Ontario, Northwest Territories and British Columbia.
