
Tasha Paramalingam BA, JD
Associate
Tasha Paramalingam is an associate with Pape Salter Teillet LLP, and specializes in Indigenous rights law, with an emphasis on litigation and governance.
Prior to joining Pape Salter Teillet LLP, Tasha worked at the Ontario Human Rights Commission and the Ministry of the Solicitor General. Tasha is also the founder and executive director of People for Equality and Relief in Lanka (PEARL), a non-profit organization working to advance human rights in Sri Lanka. Tasha spent over a year documenting human rights violations committed against Tamils in the North-East of Sri Lanka. Tasha was previously an associate in Sidley Austin LLP’s litigation practice, in their Washington, DC office.
Tasha holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A., magna cum laude, in Justice and Peace Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. Tasha is called to the bar in Ontario, New York, and Washington, DC.
