David is an Associate with Pape Salter Teillet LLP. He specializes in Indigenous rights law with an emphasis on mining-related matters, modern treaty implementation, and dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Pape Salter Teillet LLP, David practiced at a leading national law firm where he maintained a general civil litigation practice, focusing on environmental and Indigenous law matters. David advised clients on a range of subjects including project development, contaminated sites, and the negotiation and implementation of relationship agreements with Indigenous communities.

David received a JD from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law where he worked as a legal researcher for the Canadian Institute of Resources Law and published a paper in the Journal of Environmental Law and Practice. Earlier he received a BSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Guelph.

David is called to the bar in Ontario and British Columbia.
