Audrey Axten BA, JD
Associate
Audrey is an associate with Pape Salter Teillet LLP and specializes in Indigenous rights and Aboriginal law.
Audrey advises clients on a variety of issues, including treaty implementation, land and resource governance, and issues relating to the negotiation and implementation of impact and benefit agreements.
Prior to joining Pape Salter Teillet LLP, Audrey articled at the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, Crown Law Office – Civil, where she worked on a wide range of civil litigation and public law matters.
Audrey received her JD and a Certificate in Environmental Law from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, where she earned awards and recognition for her academic achievement and advocacy. In law school, Audrey participated in the Willms & Shier Environmental Law Moot and worked as a research assistant on several projects related to climate change, impact assessment and human rights law. Audrey obtained her BA from McGill University and majored in Economics and International Development Studies.
Audrey is called to the bar in Ontario.
