Our team

I help Indigenous communities better understand, assert and exercise their rights. The bedrock of my work is assisting Indigenous governments in articulating their own legal traditions in contemporary laws and policies. When supporting governments in negotiations with the Crown, I focus on helping to empower them by securing recognition of their jurisdiction. And when negotiations fail, I don’t shy away from litigation as a way of holding the Crown accountable. I am honoured and grateful to serve Indigenous communities across Canada in their pursuit of self-determination.
