I am drawn to this work because I believe self-governance is a crucial path toward long-term community stability and wellbeing. As a member of Moose Deer Point First Nation, I am guided by both a personal commitment and responsibility to promote collective resilience within Indigenous communities. I am driven by the opportunity to help transform legal systems in a way that empowers Nations to prosper and make decisions according to their own laws. I am grateful to start my career in this space and contribute to efforts that ensure Indigenous Nationhood is fully realized and respected.
