I grew up in the bush in northwest Ontario and began practicing Aboriginal law after years of working on state accountability and criminal justice issues. I wanted to work with Indigenous communities because the justice system has routinely failed them. As lawyers, we have the training, the tools and, above all, the obligation to fight for change. It is an honour and a privilege to be invited into our clients’ homelands to help them advance their strategic goals and their collective prosperity and well-being.
